The Shire of Westonia invites applications from suitably qualified persons for the position of Swimming Pool Manager at the Westonia Swimming Pool. The pool season runs from the start of November until the end of March each year.

 The Shire will consider flexible employment arrangements to suit the preferred applicant, including permanent or seasonal contract.

 The successful applicant will need to have successfully completed the following training requirements:


  • A current unrestricted C-class national drivers’ licence.
  • Provision of a current National Police Clearance.
  • Provision of a current Working with Children Check.
  • Senior First Aid Certificate or approved equivalent.
  • Royal Life Saving, Pool Lifeguard award or approved equivalent.
  • Hold relevant qualifications (including current Leisure Institute of Western Australia (Aquatic) Pool Operations Certificate).


If the successful applicant does not hold all the above requirements, the Shire of Westonia may pay for training courses required for the successful applicant to be trained to manage the Westonia Swimming Pool.

 Attractive conditions of employment are offered including salary in the range of $57,000- $62,000, inclusive of service payments, with matching superannuation contributions and other benefits.  Suitable housing can be arranged if required.

 Westonia is a dynamic rural community situated 316km east of the Perth in the Wheatbelt.  The town is well serviced with shopping, medical, swimming pool, excellent sporting facilities with schooling available in nearby Merredin. The community is currently experiencing substantial development through mining and lifestyle growth.
