The Shire of Westonia is dedicated to the management of natural resources. A Natural Resource Management Facilitator is employed by the Shire of Westonia and provides a strategic approach to the management of natural resources on public and private land.

Landcare

Traditional Landcare services such as providing land management advice, assistance with farm planning and sourcing project funding are offered to landholders in Westonia.

Remnant Vegetation

Westonia has vast areas of remnant vegetation on public and private land that have an important ecological function in the landscape.

There are some magnificent reserves in Westonia showing off some wonderful woodlands and granite vegetation where the public is invited to appreciate and enjoy bushland in its natural state.
