Adventure Elachbutting Elachbutting Rock is a massive granite outcrop, a very popular camping spot for 4x4 wheel clubs and for locals. It has a spectacular colourful wave similar to Hyden’s Wave Rock with the added beauty of ‘Monty’s Pass’, a 30m tunnel caused by a rock slide. An echoing cave similar to an amphitheatre is close by. The 6km track around the rock with its dense trees and shrubs hide many interesting species of flora. The east side is renowned for its masses of Donkey Orchids at the base to the rock. Read More

New Campers Kitchen

Westonia Caravan park was reopened on the 25^th of February. Complete with a new Campers Kitchen and many other improvements to facilitie. The lawn was laid mid-February and already looks fantastic. WA’s State Hang Gliding Championships were held in Westonia from 27^th of February through to the 5^th of March and the comments about the new town facilities from the competitors were a great credit to our town. There will be a little more work to do with the garden beds, finishing touches to BBQ area a small amount of fencing and levelling of gravel around the Water metre so that the caravan bays off Kaolin Street will be accessible to campers again.
