The Westonia Shire has recently obtained a major boost towards establishing its very own multi-purpose Sports/Community Pavilion for the benefit of the local Community by receiving an $113,400 grant through the Department of Sport & Recreation CSRFF Funding.

The Shire of Westonia recently receive a Lotterywest Grant to purchase a Chatfield Ezy Planter 2000 tree planter for local landholders to hire for the purpose of using it in revegetation activites to address salinity, land degradation and biodiversity issues in the landscape.

Thanks to the efforts of Sara Bright NRM Officer, the Shire of Westonia was successful in receiving a total of $26,520.00 from the Federal Government’s Community Water Grants program for two community projects.
