The Shire of Westonia is part of the Central Wheatbelt Ranger Scheme which employs a full time ranger to provide community education and enforcement of local government laws including:

• Caravan and camping
• Dogs
• Bush fires
• Litter
• Vehicles in off road areas

The ranger makes regular patrols of the townsites and rural areas.
